Upon being hired by Burger King, the first feature that marked my beginning at the company was “Taca Fogo” (Put Fire).
Global Success
With the success of “Shake & Win”, Burger King’s global Black Friday app developed by ARPI, where users earn discounts and products.
American Shake e Win
Campaign for Burger King in the United States, where customers could shake their phones to earn discounts.
Brazil Taca Fogo
In Brazil, the brand sought to attract customers to the app, and with that, the idea of gamifying the campaign.
When shaking the cell phone, the app screen would catch fire and reveal what the user won at Burger King, either a discount or a product.
User Flow
A comprehensive user journey map for our app, detailing all possible user paths and interactions. The map includes a flowchart that illustrates the actions that users can and can’t perform.
Group Work
Together with the Burger King app team, we conducted a complete study on how the action would work and bring the expected results.
After understanding the entire dynamic, I developed the fire animations and all the functionality.

Using the user’s name further increases closeness with them during the action.
Product Photo
A high-quality product photo directly impacts the consumer’s desire to pick up the snack.
Expiration time (stopwatch)
It is important to clearly display and count down the time to help the user make a decision.
Qr Code
The QR code is the final step in the consumer’s purchasing decision. With it in hand, it’s time to pick up the product. To that end, we created an attractive and perfectly sized model to avoid any issues during pickup.

Results
The idea was applied during Black Friday 2022 and was so successful that Burger King raised 1 billion reals (BRL).
Right below, we can see that Taca-Fogo was a tremendous success, as not even the Black Friday of 2023 managed to surpass the sale of coupons.
